Significance of Preamble: Each country's fundamental intention or way has its own angle of attitude. Without understanding this special way or attitude, it is difficult to understand the constitution. This is explained in the preamble. Preamble to our Constitution reflects the spirit of the Constitution, it makes us aware of the intentions of the makers of the Constitution. Preamble to a constitution is important to definite aims, objectives and principles.
In short, the Government's guiding principles are also defined in the preamble. Besides, it has become a trend to begin a constitution with a preamble. The Constitution of 1789's USA's, Ireland's Constitution of 1937, 1946's Japan's Constitution, West Germany's Constitution of 1949, 1954's Socialist China's Constitution these all begin with a preamble. Therefore, the Constituent Assembly has started the Constitution with the Preamble.
