Landforms produced by glacier:
Erosion work of glacier:
1. Cirque: It is an arm chair shaped hollow which is the collecting ground of ice at the end of valley glacier. It is further deepened by the packing action of snow and ice lying and filling it up some Sometimes the hollows are occupied by accumulated water to form carrie lake.

2. U-shaped Valley: The glacier does not carve a new valley but it deepens and widen a preexisted river valley. In this process the glacier broadens the side of the valley of a river. The shape of the valley formed like this letter 'U'. It is called U-shaped valley.

3. Hanging Valley: The floor of a glaciated valley lies much below the floor of the tributary which therefore hangs above the main valley. These hanging valleys produce some of the highest and most spectacular waterfalls of the world.
Depositional work of glacier:
1. Terminal Moraines: When the glacier melts at its end it deposits debris at the end. These are called terminal Moraines.
2. Medial Moraines: When two glaciers join each other, their lateral Moraines also join. These moraines are called medial Moraines.
3. Lateral Moraines: The moraines which are deposited on either side of a glacier are called lateral Moraines.
4. Ground Moraines: It consists of deposits left behind in the areas once covered by glaciers. It is seen only after the glacier has disappeared.
