The sub-division of Caucasoid race are:-
(a) Mediterranean:
(i) Classic Mediterranean Geographical distribution: This type is found to occur in Portugal, France , Spain, Germany, Italy etc. It is found in most part of Europe. The Egyptian of North Africa the Berbers of Marocco and the basic Jewish populating of Palestine also represent this type.
(ii) Atlanto- Mediterranean Geographical distribution: This type is distributed in Palestine, Iraq, North Africa, Parts of Arabia, Eastern Balakans etc. They are also present in the British Isles, Spain and Portugal.
(iii) Indo- Afgan or Irano- Afgan Geographical distribution: The people of this type are distributed in Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Baluchistan, North-West India and Pakistan.
(b) Nordic Geographical distribution: The scandinavians are considered as the typical representatives of this racial type. This racial type is distributed in Scandinavia, Baltic region, Northern France, Northern Germany, some parts of Netherlands and Belgium, Islands, etc. Its sporadic occurrence has also been noticed in various parts of Europe. They are also found in United States and some British colonies.
(c) AlpineGeographical distribution: Concentration of this type is observed in Central Europe specially in the region from France to the Urals. They are also seen in the countries like Denmark, Balkan, Norway, Northern Italy and in the mountains of Asia Minor. A sporadic distribution of this type is found throughout Europe.
(d) Dinaric Geographical distribution: The people belonging to this type are chiefly distributed in Dinaric Alps region in Yugoslavia, Albania and Austrian Tylor. They are also seen sporadically in Central Europe.
(e) Armenoid Geographical distribution: The Armenoid people are concentrated in Turkey, Syria and Palestine. They are also found in Iraq, Iran and Balkan countries. The ancient Hittites are the typical representative of this type.
(f) East Baltic Geographical distribution: These people are found in Finland, North Eastern Germany, Poland, Baltic states and Russia etc.
(g) Keltic Geographical distribution: The people of this group are found in Iceland, Scotland and Wales. The sporadic distribution is found in England and many other parts of Western Europe.
(h) Lapp Geographical distribution: The Lapps are well distributed in Northern Scandinavia, Northern Finland, Sweden, Norway and North-Western region of Russia.
(i) Indo- Dravidian Geographical distribution: The people of this type are distributed in South and Central India. These people are predominantly Caucasoid. An admixture of classic Mediterranean and Austrloid is found among them.
(j) Polynesian Geographical distribution: The Polynesian are concentrated in Polynesian Islands of the Pacific Ocean i.e. New Zealand, Friendly Islands, Samoa, Marquesas, Hawaii.
(k) Ainu Geographical distribution: The Ainus live in Northern Japan, South Sakhalin and Yezo. They represent a very ancient racial stock of Japan.
